Welcome to “Dad Goals” a conversation where fatherhood steps into the light, not polished or perfect, but present.

This is a space for the dads who show up, who listen, who learn, who carry emotion and strive to do better for their children. Here, we explore parenting through fathers’ eyes, while holding room for a mothers’ reflections, observations, and truths. Because raising children is rarely a solo act.

From lone dads carving new paths, to blended families learning how to harmonise, to traditional households nurturing little humans with intention this is a celebration of fatherhood in all its shapes, with allies walking alongside.

Our Host: Leighton Campbell, founder of Work-In-Process and the International Men’s Day Conference and expo, with lived experience of co-parenting and learning how to navigate the daily journey.

Our Guests: Dr Su Lee, a life coach specialising in men’s wellbeing and transformation, herself a co-parent and mother of two boys, brings insight, compassion, and a deep understanding of what growth really asks of us.

Paul Hinchliffe, a qualified Male IDVA and ISVA with Ask MARC, supports male survivors of domestic and sexual abuse with trauma-informed care, navigating court systems with a child-focused lens. He’s also a father of two, balancing protection with presence.

Financial Literacy: The building blocks of managing money and financial stability.

In this episode, we slow things down and get practical exploring the building blocks of financial stability and the everyday habits that help people move forward with confidence. We unpack budgeting without fear, planning with intention, understanding credit without shame, and navigating life’s inevitable curveballs when the numbers don’t quite line up. This isn’t about chasing wealth or pretending to have all the answers it’s about learning, adjusting, and making grounded decisions that support real lives.

At the heart of this conversation is a celebration of the average guy, men who aren’t financial experts, but who’ve shown consistency, responsibility, and a willingness to learn. The ones quietly doing the work to build security for themselves, their families, and their future.

Our Host: Johnathon ‘Tyson’ Leon, an entrepreneur and business owner who turned life challenges into a purpose.

Joining the panel:Joseph Broadfield, a former headteacher turned financial adviser, brings a blend of leadership and clarity offering jargon free insights on pensions, savings, and long-term planning, grounded in real-world experience across schools and communities.

Garry Leslie from the Wolves Foundation shares frontline knowledge from working across the city, supporting financial wellbeing and connecting people with the right advice at the right time.

Leon Nicholson, whose life took an unexpected turn when redundancy hit just weeks after becoming a father. Leon speaks candidly about choosing to stay at home, supporting his wife’s career, and how that decision rooted in teamwork made sense not financially but emotionally.

“Mental Health in Marginalised Communities”:

Addressing intersectionality across race, class and neurodiversity We’ll be looking at how identity, environment, and access, how the weight of these intersections can affect wellbeing and how communities navigate those pressures. The conversation will touch on stigma, barriers to support, cultural expectations, and the quiet strength. This session is a moment to identify those who are pushing for equity, visibility, and better support pathways.
